The Ball follows Jack Mizrahi on his lifelong journey of finding acceptance through ballroom. Created by the "black and brown" LGBTQ community in Harlem back in 1970s, the Ballroom community is often the only family that has offered shelter to generations of LGBTQ members from social harshness, rejection and homelessness.
Mizrahi is at the center of glamour, drama, discovery and innovation. The movie peels back the curtain on this underground world taking the viewer from the front row to behind the scenes.
