The psychological thriller Ephemeral follows Jack, a college student quietly battling mental illness. Over the course of a single day, we see how anxiety and depression shape his every moment. Haunted by intrusive thoughts, Jack begins to see self-harm as the only way to escape the pain he cannot put into words. When his roommate Toby invites him to a party, the night’s drinking and chaos push Jack to a breaking point, leading to an emotional confession that reveals the depth of his struggle to his friend. Framed by the haunting image of Jack waking up covered in blood, the film explores the weight he carries and how his mind distorts that pain into something he believes he deserves. Ephemeral is a raw and emotional look at mental health, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we are never truly alone and it is always okay to ask for help.
