Set in 2035 in the city of Xavier, we dive into a world fueled by a blend of magic and technology that is still recovering from its not-so-distant and dark past. We meet Reign on the eve of her birthday as she leaves behind her old life. The new world is full of possibility but Reign can’t yet see it for herself.
This fresh start prompts a move back home with her status-driven mother and sends her budding abilities on the fritz. Seeking balance between finding her place in an advancing society and discovering Self in the face of family expectations, who might she become?
Black Magick - the short film, is a proof of concept for an episodic series of the same name. Welcome to our world!
