Product Concept
Darcyʼs ice cream is produced by Kaori Matsumoto, an Olympic gold medalist and now-retired Judoka. Based on her own experience, she had been wanting to produce health-friendly ice cream that does not threaten oneʼs health. With carefully selected ingredients, we produced “Guilt-Free” ice cream for all: Anyone can enjoy it, carefree. In our product concept, we came up with our own recipe by using dashi, a type of stock in Japanese cuisine made of various ingredients like kombu seaweed, fish and more. Dashi has played a vital role in the Japanese food culture for many years.
Commercial Character
Having some ice cream from Darcyʼs, it brings joy and smile to all creatures and living things. We used a performer, Mai Natsuume as our commercial character. She is an entertainer who performs with creative costumes based on her own theme: Jingai, non-human being.
Commercial Production Concept
It takes place on a “sand planet”, where it gives off vast and primitive vibes as mysterious “Jingai” wanders around. To unlock our unlimited imagery, we excluded every artificial component and object. With our cinematography and editing techniques, we created an unknown world for the audience to enjoy, not knowing this would be the Earth or some other planet they have never seen or visited.
By excluding actual product cuts and informative materials, we would like you to enjoy our impression-oriented visual imagery and music. We put all our company philosophy and soul into the last cut: Having some good food, like encountering Darcyʼs ice cream simply brings smile to every creature and living thing, even un-human being.
Since this is our very first commercial project, we truly hope to leave a mark on the audience with some sensational impression for Darcyʼs ice cream.
